Even The Sun Has Got Spots

When the iPad was released, it seemed that it was the most fascinating gadget human hands had ever touched. But the blindness has passed and it turned out that even putting away some serious functionalities users would like to obtain, the gadget itself has a range of weak points.

First and foremost ֠multitasking. We really got used to thinking that multitasking is an indispensable part of any calculation or digital device especially if one enjoys a range of useful functionalities. But the iPad at least its current version can really become a disappointment. Even introducing multitasking to iPhone 4, Apple management was not going to deprive itself from huge revenues. It' much more reasonable to deploy the first gadget without the necessary option and introduce it to the next one. I wonder whether it would be possible just to upgrade to the next version or users will have to buy a new device. So what the device needs most of all it is really lacking and it is really spoiling the euphoria.

A bigger screen than that of the iPhone would allow for teleconferencing and would make possible phone calls if only the gadget was not lacking a front-facing camera, which iPhone 4, released several months later, already has. Again it is a reasonable management and marketing decision taken, but it really spoils all the fun and makes people doubt whether Apple cares for its consumers or just wants to earn more money.

Some other disadvantages are more biased as depend on people' preferences and habits. For example, not everybody likes stone-wall environment of Apple and its products, not everybody is going to spend lots of money buying something from iTunes. And most are enraged by JobsҠfatherly like approach concerning Freedom from Porn. A good slogan for a politician or a political party is not the ideal way-out for a business enterprise. Such parental guidance is not acceptable, when we deal with private property issues which a smartphone or a tablet no doubts are.

Some other views shared by potential tablet users just depend on personal preferences and ideas what users want to do with a tablet and what functionalities it must possess. So it' just the matter of likes and dislikes. Some want a tablet to have a stylus, and the iPad with JobsҠdisapproval of the notion itself is not the way out. Some would prefer their tablet to run Flash which is hardly possible at the iPad. The advent of other players to the tablet market allows people just to have some kind of choice, an alternative, an ability to choose what they want and what they can really have.
